  • Job Description
    The Position
     
    • KEDT is looking for a creative, detail-oriented self-starter to manage all KEDT fundraising events.
    • The Director of Fundraising Events will be responsible for all logistical planning, organizing, and executing of the organization’s fundraising events.  EOE/AA
    Requirements
     
    • College degree plus at least two years’ experience planning, coordinating and executing fundraising events.
    • Supervisory experience and team building leadership
    • Budget management
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Strength is handling requests in a timely and diplomatic manner
    • Available to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Ability to work with a variety of personalities, including members of staff and volunteers
    • Dependability: ability to assume and carry out the commitment and obligations of the position
     
     
    Essential Functions
     
    • Plan and coordinate KEDT’s fundraising, including soliciting and securing donations and sponsorships, coordinating and working with events committees, managing project budgets and supervising/coordinating logistics and fundraising events volunteers
    • Maintain tracking of event-related activities, i.e., timelines, revenues and expenditures, and post event-reporting
    • Develop promotional materials, invitations and event public relations plan including the use of print and electronic media with KEDT Graphic Artist
    • Create and maintain content and copy for event-related web pages
